Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Standard scoring league. We start 2 rb, my other back is Charles. Morris has a great matchup against ATL but Washington is a mess and the team doesn't use Morris at all on passing downs or when they fall behind. Gio plays the steelers who are inconsistent on def. Gio also got 2 tds against them earlier. Thoughts?
Pitta looks to be the popular add for TE this week. Not surprising as he has developed good chemistry with Flacco and responded with 6 receptions and a TD in his first game back last week.
However I'm a numbers guy and Detroit has really limited TE's. Consider that only 1 guy ALL year has scored over 10 FF pts in standard format against the Lions D. That includes guys who've failed like Witten, Cameron, Finley, Reed and Bennett twice.
I wonder if anyone else is considering D. Walker instead? 'Zona has surprisingly allowed the most FF pts to opposing TEs. and Walker in his last 3 games at home has averaged 12.83 pts in standard leagues.
I have a 6 page Word document (no kidding) , that I'll share with you. It covers a LOT more than the basics, I tried to cover any scenario that I could imagine (because people will try to cheat no matter what you do). I also wonder if anyone else would share their rulebook as I'm sure that there's a few things that I missed and I would like to cover everything. Thank you.
Have AP who is doubtful, Toby not available on waiver wire. Other RBS are CJ2k, FJAX and Ivory. Do i play those 3 with Ivory in the Flex or try to pick up another RB like Todman or Daniel Thomas? MY WR's are Shorts, Crabtree, Torrey and E. Sanders. Need 2 from that group..also not stuck on starting Ivory in Flex against Carolina..thinking Crabtree or picking up Patterson against a weak Philly pass defense or Streater. Thoughts? Thanks!!

Dang, you really painted yourself into a corner with this guy. For this year, the horses are already out of the barn - it's too late to do anything about it. But for next year, since it's your league - you're ultimately the one that must decide if the manager like this is worth your hassle. I suppose the politically correct thing to do would be to send a letter to the league and inform them that there will be some major changes next year. Specifically point out that teams are expected to submit their best lineup each and every week (you may even institute a 3-strike policy) and you will be watching them closely (don't you LOVE babysitting adults?). If the manager in question is invited back, they will have to follow the rules like everyone else or suffer the consequences. In retrospect, based upon your verbiage and tone - I would have probably warned, then booted the manager in question. When you mentioned "thought he would lose in the 1st round", this was a mistake in my eyes - lesson learned. Good luck.
How would you set my line-up a lot of tough decisions
V. Cruz (tough match-up)??
D. Amendola (No Gronk now)
Andre Brown (tough match-up)??
CJ Spiller (Easy match-up but boom or bust)??
A Morris (Skins hate to run)
B. Rainey (maybe not)
Some are pretty obvious but some a little tricky.....What you think?? Thanks
