Truly, the only league that is worth joining this year. Test yourself against the upper tier of fantasy players! Email me to get started and build your empire!
I have Holtby, Greiss and Smith (On a streak) to stream. Playoffs are this week and next with Crawford not looking good to return during the regular season.
Should I hold out hope, drop Bobby Ryan to get Steen off of IR or drop Crawford?
League been running for 15 years. We need 3 more players Draft is sunday 230 pm. 50 dollars to join and compete or free just to fill up spot but you can't win money prize. If interested, give me email and I will send to commish
I wouldn't blame you for passing, but I'd make that offer. Lester pitched with that bloody bone chip swirling around in his elbow all last season, and was fine... but that could change at any time.
ya he gets injuries that dont take him out of the lineup but restricts his hitting (i think it was his foot or something that keeps creeping up).
There are certainly less stats available in specific categories. But no, not stat is worth more than the other.
There were 9 40 HR bats last year, but only 3 40 SB guys. So SBs are worth more in that sense... Ultimately, 20 SB is worth more than 20 HR...

Fantasy Baseball: Are Some Categories More Important Than Others?

OK, I'm a NUMBERS kind-of-guy. Because no matter your...prejudice,the NUMBERS can't be fudged! So...lets look at this in REAL WORLD NUMBERS!
Last season, Chapman pitched in 65 games. The season before recovering from the beaning he pitched in 54 games. Keep these two NUMBERS in mind!
30 games in a 162 gm season is 18.5%. If Chapman lost 18.5% of last-seasons games he would have missed an additional 12 GAMES....TWELVE! That means he would have only 53 appearances last season instead of 65...or ONE LESS than he had the season before.....
Twelve games DIDN'T reduce his value, his beaning season didn't reduce his value. He is a top-2 or 3 closer regardless of what league he pitched(s) in.
REGARDLESS of whether he is suspended...or not, NOBODY in their right mind is going to let him go beyond "keeper-level" too long.....if you got him in Rd 10, good for you.....but you're in a league full of idiots!
If he DOESN'T pitch in the first month (and a week or two) after the season starts....he'll be just that MORE effective at the back-end of the season...and well rested, like last season when he lowered his ERA...by HALF a RUN compared to his career ERA!
So REGARDLESS if he is carrying the SUSP/NA tag, he's on the bench or its a BONUS. It should be looked at that way insted of carrying on about how you "lose a roster spot" ! My 2-cents!

We are up to 16 teams, looking for 18-20 teams total. Feel free to email me if you are interested.
salazar and verlander.
what is samardzija going to rebound too? hes had more bad years than good... even if you value liriano and salazar equally, verlander is much better than shark..
Strong's position is that there is a single "correct" way to construct your roster, and a single "correct" profile for the batters (other than C and usually 1B) that must comprise that roster. Assuming you accept that premise (and it's up to you whether you do or not), then players like the ones mentioned are not ownable in all but the deepest formats.
Strong would further posit, I'm sure, that this is not a "position" or "premise", but rather a truth supported by mathematics, and that anyone who can't understand that "truth" is necessarily mathematically ignorant. Again, it is up to you whether you accept this or not.
