Commissioner Corner Message Board
If this is a keeper...I want Lindor.
if this is just for ROS...it would depend on what CATS you need help in.
Story gives you a significant boost in power (13 HR vs 3HR), R are even 29 to 28, Story is a much better RBI guy 33 to 20. Lindor has 9 SB vs Story 3. Lindor is legit .310BA guy and long term will be a nice 4CAT producer.
are such a wonderful thing!
It just would not be fantasy baseball at Yahoo without them.
The Boxberger glitch earlier in the week was a very nice one - the premature DL removal from his name mucked up several of my teams. (I was incapable of making a transaction without dumping a player and removing him from the DL slot) This simply means I had to dump two players instead of one (in some cases it was Colme - which I could not get back via waiver since I dropped him) to make the transaction I wanted.
How many more glitches are going to rock the game before the *big one* at the All-Star break?
I play in a league with an NA spot and Matt Carpenter is on paternity leave but listed as DTD, while Tony Watson is also on paternity leave and listed as NA. I need to replace Carpenter for the weekend and can't do so. What's up?
This Stanton thing is like whipping a dead horse ain't it?
Hey...at least I am not into him for nearly 1/3rd of a billion dollars like the Marlins.
Unfortunately some of you fools are nearly as invested in him in your fantasy leagues.

So why you even asking? Just for some self-gratification? Look, your pitching has been good *so far*....But lets look closer---King Felix k's are down (7.4 k/9 is league-average), his walks are up (nearly 4 (!) per 9 IP), his chase rate (how often guys swing at his pitches out of the zone) is WAY down...he also has a .236 BABIP.....So put that together: less of his pitches are in the strike zone, less of his pitches outside the zone are fooling people, and he's been incredibly lucky (babip)....Yeah, expect that 2.21 ERA to be creeping up over 3 here before you know it.
Cole Hamels? less concerning but his walks are up. His K's are bound to drop a bit (various #'s that I wont get into suggest it's going to happen). Contact vs him will increase a bit----bad? no, but mid-3's ERA pitcher. Very likely.
Steven Wright---I'll let you decide how much confidence you want to place on a knuckle-baller pitching in a hitting ballpark in the AL. Is his knuckle as good as Tim Wakefield? Probably not---and wakefield never could maintain the #'s Wright is putting up this year.
Volquez? Yeah pretty much your definition of average fantasy SP. Colby Lewis? Come on....3.38 ERA is unsustainable for him. EVERYTHING suggests he's no different than that 4.66 ERA last year. Expect a mid-4 ERA ROS with below-average K's.....TIllman? Looks way better, He won't maintain *this* but should be alright. But he's not exactly someone I'd want to count as a cornerstone to my staff.....Andriese? Another very-low K pitcher with dramatically suppressed BABIP (.225) who is probably much more like a 4 ERA than a 2.63 ERA dude rest of year.
I'll let you decide how much you want to trust that SP staff of yours..
Maybe because HR is a fantasy category. Maybe because HR get you runs and RBI.
I'd keep Encarnacion/odor, so yes I agree....but Mr. #$%$ Strong seems to suggest that he'd keep odor over BOTH stanton and encarnacion..LOL. Expect improvement in average from encarnacion coming--something close to what he was last year (.260ish).
Oh yeah, and even if it doesn't come---he's on pace for 30 HR and 116 RBI. Yes that's valuable.
I wish *so badly* I was in a league with Mr. #$%$ Strong so I could fleece him out of all his stars (dudes like Stanton/encarnacion etc) for pennies on the dollar.
All - Be sure to report the abuse if you are ever harassed by this guy. When it happens click the thumbs down button (to the right of his post) then select "flag" to report the violation. Being diligent about reporting his abuse is the only way to get rid of him, stop his trolling, and stop his abuse.
Maybe they checked their IP addresses and found out they are the same person?
Pretty obvious when one team picks up free agents and trades a bunch of free agent players for the other teams top ranked guys.
Actually I sent an email to yahoo explaining the situation and got a response saying they took the appropriate action. When I went to our fantasy page, the trade was vetoed.
Not sure what is so confusing for you Matt, but yahoo doesn't like cheaters.
Team A Gets Ozuna, Pujols, and Valencia
Team B Gets J.Upton, Carpenter, and H.Ramirez
Which side would you rather have for the rest of the season? And how close is it? Standard roto scoring (i.e. Runs, HRs, RBIs, SBs, and Batting Avg).
