    Tough Keeper Question at 2B

by Tim W 20 hours ago

Not sure what the points are determined by... but I'd take Betts long term. However, it might be a year or two before he gets to Dozier's production. Same story with Wong. I'd still probably take Betts.

3rd year $100 Roto via lgsf

by James M 14 hours ago

    Bumping

  • I am looking for 2 replacements for a 20 team dynasty league with big rosters.
We have an auction draft each year with a $400 budget and players can be kept for the price that they were acquired in the previous years. Special rules are enforced for FA and waiver pickups.
Here are some of the highlight players for the 2 teams.(numbers next to the players are the price that they can be kept for)
    Team #1
    Yoenis Cespedes 42
    Chris Davis 10
    Edwin Encarnancion 41
    Jacoby Ellsbury 41
    Dustin Pedroia 45
    Kyle Seager 20
    Alex Guerrero 14
    Dustin Ackley 10
    Hisashi Iwakuma 10
    Lance Lynn 16

    Team #2
    Paul Goldschmidt 38
    Shin Soo Choo 11
    Alen Hanson 2
    Daniel Norris 2
    Micheal A Taylor 2
    Jake Lamb 2
    Matt Olson 2
    Nick Franklin 2
    Austin Hedges 2
    Christian Bethancourt 2
    Rougned Odor 20
    Ken Giles 2
    Jesse Hahn 2
    CJ Cron 2
    Wade Davis 2
    Corey Dickerson 2
    Trevor Bauer 2
    Yu Darvish 35
    Doug Fister 16
    Hunter Harvey 2
    Tyson Ross 11

Team #1 has a couple of studs, and team #2 has a boatload of prospects, which will make both of them easy to rebuild. Remember, this is a 20 team league, so these 2 teams are above average.

If you are interested in taking over one of these teams, please let me know your email.

Thanks, I was thinking Betts or Wong in a keeper, but consensus seems to be Dozier for the next several years.

One spot still open! Most of us in the league are keeper leaguers who decided to start a redraft league that mirrored many of the settings we've used in keeper leagues. We are all dedicated managers who will stay committed to daily lineup changes, responsive to trade offers, etc....so come join us! The online draft will be Sun Mar 22 at 12:30 pm CST (24 draft rounds).

    Who wins this trade???

    by Bruschi 9 hours ago

Did both managers help their teams? Then that's who won... Never understood the whole "who wins" thing. It's not about winning. It's about making your team better. If I have to "lose" a trade to make my team better, then I'll do it...

    Need help picking keepers!!!

    by Trevin Feb 24, 2015 10:41 PM

You can't keep Mookie. He doesn't have a full time position and will likely only see 400 ABs or so. Bryant will only see 400 ABs but can do a whole hell of a lot more with them than Mookie can... But don't overlook your 3B that went 29/20 last year. The power is real. The coach let's them run. Why would you pass on that for guys that may or may not play?

H-H or Roto factors in for me... Rendon is your most obvious. I'd role out with Cueto, Frazier, Yelich.... and then Gordon I guess? I'd look to trade him though before the inevitable.

    Dynasty League Trade Help!

    by BronxBombers23 8 hours ago

It's hard to say who wins without seeing both teams' roster. I'd say both teams could 'win' if they filled their need. I'm not sure one side is better than the other. Pretty much entirely needs based...

  • We need a new member for a 3 sport keeper league in its 10th season. The sports are football, basketball, and baseball. We keep 5 in baseball and 4 in football and basketball. Scoring is H2H in all the sports. Scoring categories are generally Yahoo default except baseball we use OPS and QS instead of AVG and W. All the leagues are free.

We have a good group of established members in our league of 10. We have a forum in which we vote on trades, participate in league discussions, hold supplemental drafts to improve keepers, submit keepers, keep track of draft pick trading, discuss trading with other members in private messaging, keep track of awards for the league and so on.

  • Dear Fellow Managers:

Here on League Bill James X (BJX), we have 1-3 spots, depending on if the last veteran managers return or not. If you are interested, please contact me.

BJX is a point-based, Head-to-head Keeper's league that I've been running since 2008. Our current format was well-proven to work and established since 2010.

As its commish, I'm still experimenting new ways such as more keepers and balance of pitcher-to-batter points to create more simulation fun-s.

With our current format, a team may keep up to 8 keepers going into year-2016. I'm asking managers to discuss if we should expand keepers to 9, as we always do--interaction is good. We are educated baseball fans who love chatting fantasy.

The point system resembles FIP and Offense WAR, in simple add and minus-es.

If you are interested, please enquire. You may also use the Join League feature on Yahoo!:

    http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/reg/joinleague/private?st=headpoint&dy=live_auction&dd=03-29-2015

Filter by Head to Head Points, Live Auction Draft, and draft 3/29.

    Welcome and enjoy Spring!

  • 16 team, NOT a keeper (start fresh every year), standard 5 x5 scoring, NOT for $$ (plenty of bragging rights), very experienced league seeking new blood. This is the 11th year in this league and had to remove an inactive manager. We require draft attendance and the ability to keep up with baseball daily. We don't want the casual draft-and-leave owner. We want mature, dedicated fantasy geeks that have a desire for competition. We have a great core of knowledgable players that seek out top owners.
