Commissioner Corner Message Board
This is a 12 team h2h keeper league with the following positions...
9 active hitters (C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, LF, CF, RF, Util.)
9 active pitchers (3 SPs, 3 RPs, 3 Ps)
My keepers for this season are...
Paul Goldschmidt (Ari - 1B)
Stephen Strasburg (Was - SP)
Jacob deGrom (NYM - SP)
Mike Trout (LAA - CF)TIV-2016
Kris Bryant (ChC - 3B,RF)TIV-2018
So should I keep Dallas Keuchel (Hou - SP) or Dee Gordon (Mia - 2B) based on this limited information.
My league this year allows 7 keepers and my top 5 are no-brainers (Trout, Goldschidt, Kershaw, Stanton and Bryant), I then need to pick two from::DeGrom, Swarber, Jose Fernandez, C. Davis and D. Keuchel. I am leaning toward DeGrom and Swarber, keeping in mind that next year will be a full dynasty league, so youth is a benefit. Let me know what you think?
As the title says, i'm looking to take over for a dynasty team. Preferably a league with 12+ teams, I don't really care how good or bad the roster is. Send me an email If you have one available, bdtoole05 at yahoo
I like them all...but I like Eaton the best.
I believe that SB are hard to find and Eaton is the best at that. Additionally, Eaton found his power stroke in the second half of last season so 20/20 is a real possibility. Unfortunately he bats at the top of a bad lineup and in 2015 when only 13 players scored 100 runs or more...Eaton scored 98 to tie for 14th. Expect the runs and SB to continue and the power to grow.
Peralta is a XBH monster. He is in the best lineup situation of the three. He is the underrated star in the Diamondbacks lineup. He has above average speed but won't be called upon to steal bases while batting cleanup. Pollock and Goldschmidt will be on base a lot in front of him and both of them run well. Expect a lot of RBI with a solid batting average...he has the ability to steal 20 bases but he probably won't do so.
Parra is the wild card. No team has ever given him a real shot to be the every day guy in the OF. Parra has always been viewed as a defensive specialist. I am not sure that is a fair characterization. He is a career .277 hitter and averages nearly a double-double per 162 games. Expect the Coors affect to enhance all of those numbers and if he can hold his job for a full season he might just end up like Ellis Burks (c. 1994, 1996, or 1997) which took a good MLB hitter and made him into a monster.
Simply put, Eaton has the better pedigree. Peralta and Parra have the better home hitting situations but there are more variables that could adversely affect their performance. If the variables in Eaton's situation change it would only enhance his performance.
Sorry, not sure there is anything that can be done. You can try writing to Yahoo, but they tend to not get involved in private league issues. If you're looking for another league, I have one that I posted in another thread that will be active and fun. Check it out. A $25 head to head league.
its punting WINS and K's....only....and seems the likelyhood of being first place in ERA, SAVES and WHIP is pretty high....while the likelyhood of drafting tops in almost every offensive cat is more difficult, but you'll have so many more drafting options for offense, since everyone else will be looking for SPs a lot, its not unrealistic.
Payouts broken out to top 3 regular season and top 3 playoffs.
