Commissioner Corner Message Board
So many Cargo posts. He was my #1 this year so I share the frustration. If it rains he's more than likely to come out of the game. He seems to have so many injuries right now - lets see, the calf, the finger, the knee ...... it's hard to believe he's not on the DL for at least one of them. Meanwhile the knee issue has totally stopped his stealing and with the other problems he's been as productive as Mario Mendoza lately. All that said - it's a question of value. If you can get top value for him you might be well rid of him. If you can't - then you are better off parking his sorry butt on your bench and waiting him out. To just trade him away for #$%$ is the worst thing you can do.
My shortstop is J.J. Hardy (and Jurickson Profar-DL) in a 10-team private league.
The owners of Jose Reyes and Hanley Ramirez have put each of them on the trading block.
Who will have the better rest of the season - Reyes or Hanley? Or do you think I should stand pat with Hardy, who I picked up in the last couple of days.
Why in the world would anyone trade for Ventura & Gallardo when there's guys in FA who are just as good and who have stats almost identical...that can be got for FREE! Why would anyone give up Goldy to get Morneau and those two dogs...when they could keep Goldy and get two similar dogs for FREE!
When fantasy first started on yahoo you were only allowed to have 8 pro league teams which is why I had to use multiple accounts. I have never complained about people using multiple accounts for league use. I have complained about losers like yourself that create accounts with different names for the sole purpose of commenting on these boards. Man you are getting embarrassed hardcore right now lol. Talk about getting your head handed to you lol.
Do it? Here is my team:
1B - David Ortiz
2B/3B - Brett Lawrie
Let me explain how I do this. Sometimes you just can't get a stud to play a particular position so you have to improvise. What I look for is someone with ridiculous lefty/righty splits that often slips under the radar. Lind is like that. His numbers against RHP are very good - but you can't play him if Toronto is going against a lefty. What you have to do then is have a backup player who can play on those days you can't use your lefty. It doesn't matter if the sub is lefty or righty although you would prefer to have someone who was in the lineup every day. This is where you are right about Howard. It's certainly possible that the Phils could be playing a lefty on the same day Toronto is - which would leave me a big hole at 1B that day. Moreland has the same issue. Chris Johnson doesn't - which may make him the best option - if he would only start hitting again. Of course it's better to draft Goldy and use him there but things don't always work out that way - as all of you know.
Of course this can never be proven, and inference/deduction is not proof. But I've seen dozens and dozens of threads where you are the only naysayer, and people either posting against you in personal ways, or not personally but giving opinions on players like Wheeler or Mejia or Fernandez or other "Greg" guys that go counter to your opinions, and they always have one, and usually just one, thumb down. Again, not proof, but I'm fairly satisfied that you're thumbing down and that your denial is a lie.
