I'm looking to make an upgrade to make the final push in a 10 team league. I have a team with a lot of WR2 and RB2. I'm looking to package them to snag an elite RB1 or WR2. My team can win on any given week as is (5-5 but 2nd in points with some unlucky losses), but with some maybe 2nd options I always run the risk of starting the wrong guy.
I'm thinking of offiering Ivory/Yeldon for Gurley or Bechkam Jr or Hopkins. The gurley owner needs depth across the board. The WR owner needs RB help and is very WR heavy (so he can spare someone). Thoughts?
WR1 AJ Green
10 team, PPR Dynasty
10-0, 1st place, clinched playoff spot
So my team has been a tad lucky as I'm 3rd in scoring, yet undefeated. The guy who is 2nd in scoring is 5-5 and in 4th place. However, I'm in the playoffs and only 4 teams go. So I'm thinking week 15 and 16 only from here on out. So this is a 2 part question.
I own Josh Brown right now, and he's been great. The #2 kicker overall. He's on a bye this week. So do I drop him or hold? Blair Walsh is my other option. Walsh is at home weeks 15 and 16, which I'm not thrilled about. Brown is actually in NY and then Min weeks 15 and 16. So his matchup isn't great either. Kai Forbath (NO) has a great schedule weeks 15-16, but NO hasn't really generated a ton of Ks.
So, keep Brown or great Walsh or Forbath?
2nd part... Looking to next year. I currently own Javorius Allen (Bal - RB). I firmly believe he'll be the lead back in Bal next year. However, Jay Ajai is available. He seems to be the better player. Yet, he doesn't not have a clear path to playing time next season. Should I keep Allen or grab Ajai?
Both have tough match ups. Both are solid plays, especially in PPR, but with D-Will isn't in a RBBC, although Gio has out played Hill pretty much all season. How many RB, WR, Flex do you play?
one question though now that i thought about it. did he drop AP for another player or just drop him? if he dropped AP for the sheer 'ell of it called dumping, then yes i'd talk to the manager about this, give him a warning, and if he does anything like this again, lock/remove him. still nothing wrong with you picking him up as a commish though. if we were to be PC all the time then no use in even playing.
Here are my RBs C. West, J. Langford, CJ Anderson, A. Blue. With Matt Forte looking like he might be ready to play this week, my days of streaming Langford might be done. If thats the case it leaves me with 3 less than desirable options for this week. As a Dolphin fan I loved the Ajayi pick and have been yelling at the TV for him to get more carries since every time he touches the ball he gets at least 8 yards. Campbell has said he's going to get more touches but Miller is clearly the starter. Blue hasn't done much as a starter but does get a decent amount of touches, and CJ Anderson, just like for a lot of people, was a 1st round bust but its hard to just drop him. So would you make the move of Blue for Ajayi?
Ive been streaming QBs for the better part of the season and right now I have Tannehill and Tyrod Taylor on my roster. Would you consider dropping one of these guys for Osweiler as a week 11 stream or should I take my chances with these guys?
Sorry for the long post...
With Ingram on bye, I have to move Ivory to RB slot so I need a Flex player. Currently have Jarvis plugged into that slot. (starting WRs: Julio, Green, Diggs)
Would have played Yeldon, but he's in a walking boot.
Hurns is an option, depending on health.
James Jones.. nah..(will drop him for Amendola if Danny clears waivers)
Amendola, if I get him
Any/all recommendations/suggestions are welcomed.
PPR league. Watson is on a bye.
I'm facing the last place team this week, so there is the option of not starting a TE, and I'll probably still win.
Gillmore vs STL
Ertz vs TB
Tamme vs IND
Rodgers @ MIN
Fleener @ ATL
QB: Bortles, Taylor
RB: West, Woodhead, K. Williams, Hillman
WR: Hopkins, Green, Cooper, Landry, Crabtree
DEF: CAR, NYJ
Watson: @TB, DET, JAX
Gillmore: SEA, KC, PIT
Ertz: BUF, AZ, WAS
Tamme: @CAR, JAX, CAR
Rodgers: DAL, @OAK, KC
Fleener: @JAX, HOU, @MIA
it all depends on whether or not Osweiler and crew can move the football into McManus' range with consistency, and for now...we just don't know. I like the idea of Catanzaro and wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger on that change.
I do know why Maclin needs to be owned, but he would not be my #3. All 3 of my starters are top 15.
With that in mind, Maclin is definitely ownable (was dropped Sun by guy who didn't want to play him against Den secondary) but as I said above, I don't know if it's good value to burn waiver priority for a marginal increase in my bench.
Thanks for the input though; I know I'm overanalyzing.
My post got cut off when I was typing. The reason I wouldn't do that is because it's a 14 team league and it might be more valuable to hold onto a waiver in case a starting RB gets injured. You already have a good WR group and I'm really conservative with my waivers.
