Commissioner Corner Message Board
Hello, my name is Dylan and I am the commissioner of the Sim Basketball Association. SBA is a different kind of fantasy basketball league. You start out with an NBA team’s current roster and all games are simulated via NBA 2K the video game. The league is run on a proboards site that I have created.
How it works:
This isn’t a normal fantasy basketball league. Imagine as if you’re the General Manager of an actual NBA team. Your goal is to construct your roster in such a way to win the NBA championship. You begin with a current teams rosters and build from there. There is a salary cap, trade deadline, an annual rookie draft and much more. You form your depth chart, give each player a role, and sign players to extensions. You truly feel like you’re the GM of an NBA team.
As previously mentioned day-to-day operations of the league will be run on a proboards site. On the proboards site we have our own chatango group so we can live chat at any time. I will also be creating a league blog site and a league twitter page.
Because I am hoping to make this a replica to the NBA, I would like each general manager to hire staff members. An assistant general manager, scout, team advisor, website designer, beat writer, etc. While none of these are required, it may help you out and take some of the “work” aspect of the league off of you.
If this league interests you please visit our proboards site at: simbballassociation.proboards.com. When you go to the website, BEFORE signing up, please go to the sign-up board at the top. There will be an application to fill out that will include email, experience, team applying for, etc. (I will have listed which teams are taken\available). If you have any questions email me at email@example.com.
