Yahoo could solve this problem EASILY by simply adding a:
"Edit Round: 1 - 2 - 3 - 4" (and in the case of Bob Hope, "5")
...right at the top of your player selection window. Then, you could change the players around all you bloody well want prior to 5 minutes before the round starts. Such a system would be ideal for a tourney like Bob Hope, where you know there's no cut until round 5, and you want to arrange your players on certain courses for rounds 1 thru 4.
WHY ON EARTH have this stupid complicated system that bumps deadlines and leaves users out in the cold if they are not at their computer at the exact right time? It makes no sense to restrict users to only editing the next round, especially if you're going to play musical deadlines.
So the latest message includes "...Please note that round 5 rosters will become editable once the first tee time is known. This won't happen until after the completion of round 4."
That's unprecedented, and TOTALLY STUPID. The next round has always been editable regardless of the next round's tee time. Suppose that round 4 was halted by darkness - by Yahoo's logic, does that mean that we would have to wait until tomorrow for our team to be editable??? AND, we'd have only the time between the completion of the 4th round and the beginning of the 5th round (more than likely less than 1/2 hour later) to edit our teams.
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
The same garbage happened last year and I stopped participating. Looks like the problem is still there. Why it can't be fixed is absurd. Change the deadlines if you can't complete the stats on time. Obviously they did not listen to all the complaints from last year.
Not only that, once you submit your roster you cant change the freakin thing. I accidently submitted my roster for round four thinking it was for round three and couldnt change the freakin thing as well as round four and five!! Lost a ton of points over that BS!!! Definately need a new system, like editing!!!!
"Please note that round 5 rosters will become editable once the first tee time is known. This won't happen until after the completion of round 4. Thank you for your patience."
More stupidity. The only thing they need the first tee time for is to set the deadline. Why is editing still locked? For no reason other than they don't know what they are doing.
It's also another example of forcing us to check back over and over again. Anyone expecting to edit their round 5 lineup this morning might be inclined to give up and not check in again.
And one more thing - they said the round 4 problem would be fixed, and that was a lie. So don't hold your breath on the round 5 editing.
Check out the Expert Picks!
After Chad Campbell's -8 in round 3, Vara did what a lot of people did, he activated Campbell for round 4, knowing he was going to be on one of the 3 easier courses.
And to put salt in the wound, Campbell will miss the cut - and Vara, like a lot of people, will be stuck with him in round 5. You can be damn sure those users would NOT have inserted Campbell if they knew it was going to be for round 5 too!
Even the "Experts" are getting screwed by Yahoo!
This is fkng retarded. As it stands now I'll have 3 active players miss the cut because I played "course strategy" for round 3 and haven't been able to edit since.
If this were fantasy football the problem would have been resolved by now. Fk you Yahoo.
