Round 5 changes (not to mention rd 4)

Given that round 4 changes are just about to be a moot point once they start the round, will Yahoo continue to fix the problem so that round 5 changes can be made, should your player have a bad round today and MC? Strategy involved with playing certain players in round 4 may end up causing a team to have empty spots (MC/Round 5) with the system not up to the new supposed guidelines.

    • At least you can pick golfers for next week -just can't edit this week

    • blame the rain

    • Just another example of 'be careful what you wish for'.
All the whiners who pushed for this flexible deadline instead of the hard and fast early morning scheduled one are the ones who will cry about a few bugs that need to be worked out.
At least this tournament is still one round per day. How much pissing and moaning is there going to be when the PGA finishes a rain-delayed second round at 1:00 on Saturday and make the cut and start of the third round at 2:30?
People that have the time to sit around and keep track will have an edge over the ones with real jobs or obligations, but chances are they will still be the ones doing all the bitching!!

      • There's no reason yahoo had to write the software to make it impossible to change players for the next round before a previous round is completed.

So the point of a delayed 2nd round finishing at 1pm on a saturday with the 3rd starting soon after on the same day could easily have been no problem at all to those managers who have other things to do but sit in front of a computer and wait.

Whoever wrote the software screwed it up. There is no reason managers shouldn't be able to set different players for all 4 (or 5) rounds before the tournament ever even begins. As well as allow changes up to 5 mins before the first tee time of a round if a manager wishes to do so. It is simply crappy software writing.

      • I agree with your points, but I suspect they'll only move the deadline if a round is completely cancelled for the day.

But then, that would make sense, and we know how Yahoo is...
