    fantasy keeper rules

Hey, I've been involved in the same fantasy hockeypool for several years. We'd like to switch to a proper franchise/keeper system but can't seem to find the right system to use and many unforseen problems might arise. Would anybody be able to forward their exsisting rules to me? Thanks!

It really all depends on what you want your franchise/keeper league to look like. I'll break down my league as simple as I can:

      10 Teams

      $200 salary cap
      Auction style draft
Keeper sum deducted from salary cap before draft
Left over players start at $1
Rolling Waiver Wire with additional $100 for bids (does not carry over)
Dropped players are on waivers starting at $1

2012-13: max 3 keepers; $5 keeper fee per player, added to winning auction price (ie, Crosby $30 + $5 Keeper= $35)
      2013-12: max 4 keepers

so far our league has been great, the one addition that we did add was locking teams as soon as they are out of the playoffs, this eliminates any poor team grabbing an injured star that a playoff team had to dump.

let me know if you have questions
