  • Trade Veto for injuries?

    Drew by Drew . Mar 15, 2013 12:31 PM . Permalink

How do you feel about a trade being vetoed for a serious injury that occurs during the 2 day voting period?

Our 12 team league is currently set to league votes for trades and we are having a divide over 2 vetoes this year.

First scenario: Ryan Suter for Tobi Enstrom.

Trade gets accepted and within the 2 day voting period Enstrom gets a serious injury. (hasn't played since) Enough people voted to veto the trade however, several mangers were upset that it didn't go through. But obviously Owner 1 didn't want to give Suter for nothing in return.

Second Scenario: Milan Michalek for Kris Versteeg

Both players were coming back from injury and the trade had been proposed for about 4 days. Versteeg got hurt (out for season), and his manager immediately accepted the trade. Obviously the other manager is upset about giving something for nothing and wrangles enough people to veto the trade.

Now the debate has begun about who should have the power to veto and for what reason. Let me know your opinions.
