Commissioner Corner Message Board
I need a way for me to explain to my league how trading picks in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, ect rounds works. We keep 18 players, therefore making the 1st available pick in the 19th round. I have the settings to have keepers automatically assigned by yahoo when the live draft window opens. Team managers select theyre own keepers and I approve and lock them befire the draft starts.
Can someone tell me what happens when a manager trades his 1st round pick for a 25th round pick?
I really appreciate it.

Actually, I have no idea if Yahoo adjusts for it. But in the leagues I commish I put a note on the league page reminding people about the draft picks (e.g., 1st round drafting = 19th round). That way, if any trades are made they should be adjusted before they actually go through. Saves a lot of aggravation during the offseason.
As in real life draft pick can be swapped.
In this case 1st for a 25th............. in next years draft one team will have 2 X 1st round picks and other will have 2 x 25th round.
That is assuming neither managers trade one of these picks away
It is all automated with these fancy computers and all
Hope this helps
