  • Entire League Deleted Long AFTER the Draft

    This is my first year with Yahoo Fantasy Hockey so looking for some guidance. I was stunned to see an email this AM that the Commissioner deleted our entire league. The draft was already completed and I rejected a trade for Crosby to the Commish last night ... a few hours later apparently he/she deleted the league.

    It's been my experience that league's can only be deleted before the draft. This is pretty surprising given it was a live draft league, there were good wishes given ... if we are going to take the time to draft, adjust our teams via waivers, can the league later just be deleted? Or is it possible this person was suspended from Yahoo?

      Probably would still be playing if you had traded Crosby for Gomez like he wanted, lol. Ho...

      Probably would still be playing if you had traded Crosby for Gomez like he wanted, lol. Hope this wasn't a cash league. Kinda petty from the Commish as well. If he didn't like the team, he could have been replaced with a different GM and someone else could have become commish. I wonder if you can trace that and have Yahoo re-instate the league, eject that commish as a GM so that your league can carry on.

        Thx for your input and I agree ... petty. The name of the league was connected to the Pens as was the player. It still seems ridiculous that they can just delete an entire league after people have gone thru the draft and building their team.

        I assume this person must have deleted so he could start another one where he could either draft or trade for Crosby. Hope it doesn't happen in any of my other leagues ; )
