Trying to understand the H2H scoring in a league I joined. Help please
In our league we have goalie cats as follows:
W, L, GA, GAA, SA,SV, SV%, and SO
I gave the following scenario to our commish but haven't received a complete response to date and our draft is tommorrow. I'd like to get this cleared up in the event that I need to make some adjustments to my draft order.
Here's the scenario. Goalies need to play min 1 game per week.
My team wins the game 3-2, out shoots the opponent 30-17 and it's the only game played for the week.
The way I see it, the breakdow would be as follows:
GM W L GA GAA SA SV Sv% SO
Me 1 0 2 2.00 17 15 .882 0
Opp 0 1 3 3.00 30 27 .900 0
The way I see it, the cats would be scored as follows:
W - Me
L - Opp
GA - Opp
GAA - Me
SA - Opp
Sv - Opp
Sv%- Opp
SO - Tie
So even though my tender wins this game my goalie stats for the week would be 2-5-1 in my opponents favour. Is that correct?
Personally not a big fan of "Loser Points" but it sure makes the CBJ (and other bottom feeder teams) tending as good as Lundquist as their tenders would most certainly out point Lundquist/Quick/Rinne etc in L, GA, SA, SV on any given night and maybe Save % too depending on the number of shots faced and keeping it a close game. It would almost be better to obtain goalies that face a lot of shots and lose than the elite tenders. Assuming I'm correct of course.-

You'll win the losses and GA categories as well, no loser points there, so you'd finish at 4-3-1 for the week. One of the tricks of H2H is trying to balance things you win with fewer games played against piling up wins, and shutouts and smoothing out the percentages if somebody plays a bad game versus a couple quick shutouts early in the week.
