    Fair or Foul?

The argument is based on the fact Vrbata repeating last year's numbers is a not out of the question, but kind of unlikely, and Datsyuk will begin to slowly decline; on the other hand, Malkin is at the peak of his prime. The other side argues that he is giving up real good talent in exchange for Malkin. Some people are ok with it, others are in protest of it. Me personally, I can go either way becuase both sides do make some sense. I'm just trying to get a feel for what other people think.

    • Don't forget Niemi is 8 years younger than Nabokov and plays for a much better team. It's been my experience that goalies drive the price in trades. Let it go through.

    • this is about as even as a trade can get. Niemi is better than Nabby, so him and Datsyuk are about even with Malkin and Nabby. Vrbata and Stepan are filler, any difference between them shouldn't constitute a veto by any means. This is not collusion, and that's the only time a trade should ever be vetoed.
