Commissioner Corner Message Board
this trade was offered to me!
good deal or not
I think it is a very even trade.
Sedin > Malkin... However, when Crosby returns Malkin's value goes up. Especially, on the power play.
Kessel > Kane. For the time being... I think it will turn around by the end of the season.
Zetterberg > Callahan. Zetterberg is off to a slow start but it should turn around.
Visnovsky = Byfuglien. If Anaheim starts picking it up, then Visnovsky will be better.
So you give up Couture for the advantage the other players bring later in the season. So all around, I think it is a level trade across the board.

Team getting Kane and Sedin wins Instantly. I don't believe Malkin will play all year, Kessel and the Leafs are going to choke as usual. Zetterburg is elite and will finish minimum 70pts, Callahan is unproven. Sedin and Kane will both finish top 10 overall. Byfuglian is fat and overrated. Lubo should pick it up

I'd say do it. The only thing you're really losing out on is shots.. Kessel and Buff are heavy shooters.
In the long run though its a good trade for you. A lot of what you're giving away are hot hands who have shown to cool off, especially in the second half of the season.
Visnovsky is old and will be pushed to put up 50 pts at best this year tho.
