If you are seriously interested (there is a lot of commitment involved in this league-- knowledge of prospects and HIGH ACTIVITY IS A MUST, EVEN IN THE OFFSEASON), email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your yahoo profile, how long you've been playing fantasy hockey and your background (how many teams you manage per year, have you ever been in a keeper, etc). It helps to have ProBoards on your mobile phone so you can be checking in periodically to the message board.
I am very interested in your pool. My nephew Tyler is it I believe....We were supposed to get together and chat about the league etc, but do to my son's soccer tournament I was unavailable. If the team is still available I would to discuss the opportunity of running it....
I’m interested. I’m active GM in 16 leagues (since 2001- 8 keepers; 2 live prospect draw) – 12 serious ones, playing with small wagers to make it more serious. I’m commish in 3 leagues, plenty to recognize and hate with passion dead GM. You can check me out – my teams are European Conection – at least the 4 I use for practice. I can’t share the name of the rest, sorry. Last season I finished 2nd, 2nd, 3rd and 3rd – showing that I take practice teams as seriously as the others. How can I do it? Well hockey is my life, I watch hockey from 7pm Eastern time till end of Western’s game. In the meantime I’m working on my teams – that’s about a 5hours/day. I hope I give you all info you might need – at least for the start. Now I have some questions of mine;
1/ I never played in the league with ratio 6 skater’s points (G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SOG) and 4 (W, SV%, GAA, SHO) goalie’s points. With usual points it looks to me that the lucky tem with great goalies has huge advantage – what is the points reward for each category?
2/ In general Ds are NOT as useful in those categories (accept for +/-) as Forwards. There are number of GMs in leagues I play who’ll rather have more FW in the team – and take the chance some of them will bench. Does your league allowed this practice?
3/ How many dead GM you have in the early basis?
4/ Is this private team? Are there a regular in person meetings – over the beer for example? How many of GMs knows each others out of this league?
