Boston is playing to not get hurt. Devils are playing for pride, but would love to knock them off. No chance of Boston winning the Goalie trophy, so there is no reason for them to care. Likely fewer shots as well, so Save % potentially not affected as much. No one really playing for their jobs tough.
Both Edmonton and Colorado have been out of the playoffs for a while now. Colorado is dysfunctional while Edmonton is just young. More pride on the Oilers and many trying to impress. Also playing decent hockey recently. Likely more shots so a higher Save % upside, As well, see Edmonton winning and Boston not.
