You can think it's cheating, but it's not. I don't understand how that is perceived as cheating. It's not against any Yahoo rules. Does your league have a rule against it? Some sort of agreement that you won't do it? If so then it shouldn't even be available during finals. If not, then stop whining about it & go pick up some other players for tomorrow.

If the option is available, why shouldn't we try to use it to our advantage? I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm playing to win & I'll use whatever I can to make that happen. I've been dropping & picking up players all week, as has my opponent. Sure they aren't as talented as the players I dropped but I can guarantee that if they aren't playing, they aren't getting me any points. At least this way there is a chance I can pick up a few extra points in a couple of categories & since we are 6-5, that just might make the difference.
