Commissioner Corner Message Board
My team has been under performing and I need to do something. I'm thinking of dropping Michael Ryder, Bos. Out of these FA's who should I pick up?
Alex Burrows, Van
Matt Moulson, NYI
James van Riemsdyk, Phi
Justin Williams, LA
It's a 12 team rotisserie league. Points for +/-, G, A, PPG, SHG, SOG, PIM
Any help would be appreciated.
Myself, i would pick up Justin Williams. He is on a up and coming talented young team, with Kopitar, Doughty, Smith and many more soon to be if not already great players. So he is not just talent himself but playing around up coming talent that seems to be getting more and better chemistry every game they play. Lets face it though, Kopitar's first line up can only play absolutely amazing for so long until they slow down and hit the bump in the ice, eventually Justin williams will have to start contributing some major points and which he will! Burrows would also be a good pickup, but how things are going with the L.A Kings right now, it would probably be a smart choice to grab Justin Williams while you can.
Burrows may end up being a 30/30 winger with over 200 shots and should be good for 85-120 PIM's.
Williams is playing with Kopitar and Smyth on the top line, so if he doesn't get injured, you can't go wrong with him, but he won't get many PIM's.
JVR is playing with Jeff Carter and they're definitely feeding off one another. He's one of the favorites for the Calder this year.
I wouldn't count on Moulson keeping it up too much longer...but stranger things have happened I guess.
If you don't need PIM's go for either JVR or Williams. But if you need PIM's, take Burrows.
