Commissioner Corner Message Board
As the season draws to an end, I start to think of next season. After several seasons of trying to build a strong league, with returning players ready to play, I'm at my wit's end. Our league has a few 'hardcore' players, with them I have no problem. In fact, they're why I keep trying. The problem is with the guys that say they want to play, and then proceed to 'occasionaly' log in to manage their teams. Even worse, people who know little to nothing about hockey, that convinced me they would be good managers.
So I send a call to the masses. If you are serious about your Fantasy Hockey, and want to compete everyday, then you just might be who we're looking for! We've tried many formulas over the years, and have found that a 10 team league with 21 man rosters is a good mix. There are still guys on the Free Agent List that can help a manager out in time of need. All but one of my players is in the East (eastern time). This is preferable, but not required. It's just easier/fairer if everyone is in the same time zone. We score with the following;
G, A,+/-, PIM, PPG, PPA, SHG, SHA,W, SV%, GAA, SO.
If you think you'd like to play in this league next season, drop me a line.
Thank you for your time.

hey!! I'd like to join...it's the same in my league, about half the league does'nt care. It was my first year in the yahoo pool this year and I finish 3rd but was 1st all year until last week when i reach my maximum games. Like I said, it was my 1st year so I gained experience.
Good luck with your search. I've been running my league for a couple years now and always seem to have one or two managers that try to ruin it for everyone. IF you're ever interested in a 12 man league with a little different mix up of categories then drop me a line. I think I have narrowed down the bad apples and now have two open spots for managers.

My name is Shaun and I'd be more than happy to talk more about you joining my league.

Hey If anyone has room still. I would love to get into something more competitive next year. We only had about half participation by the end this season. This was only my first full season, but my son played a fantasy league with his real hockey team last year, and I ended up taking his team over because he was neglecting it and it made me crazy. At first I was asking him if it was ok if I did this, or that, then I just took over. He was too busy with his own real hockey, school, homework, etc. Now, it's the first thing I do everymorning with the first cup of java... I'm a die hard, number crunching, trend watching, hockey loving fan. East time zone.
I'm interested in joining also. But it looks like their is a huge line ahead of me... I've been looking for leagues for next yr that have a full roster of GMs that will be active. I found a couple already but lookin to find a few more. email@example.com
I must say....I wasn't expecting this great of a response!
It's nice to know that there are others like me. I will try and sift through all the 'applicants' as fairly as possible.
You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I'm looking forward to next season!!
Seems like a decent league to play in.
I like leagues where you have offensive and goalies cats split straight down the middle, like 5/5 each, but 8/4 is decent too, something different.
I personally think that SHG and SHA are completely unecessary as nobody really gets shorthanded points, on a weekly basis, so those will likely end in a tie each week.
So if you were to change it to just 6 offensive categories and keep the 4 goalies ones, for a total of 10 it'd be more balanced.
Anyways, I am very interested and I think my fantasy record speaks for how active I am.
Right now I am:
2 of 8
3 of 12
1 of 4
and 2 of 16, all H2H leagues.
So please email me at email@example.com. If you do decide to start this league.... you already have more than 10 replies so it may be tough for you to pick 10 people to start a league.
