nhl.com answers emails pretty quick and usually checks on when people tell them things like this. Last year I emailed about Sakic being out at least 12 weeks and still being undroppable. They answered the next day saying they would take him off the list. And then they actually did it! They have no IR that I know of but they do update their can't cut list often, and listen to people. And they are always up to date with position eligibility. For everyone about to tell me tough this site is free, so is nhl.com so no excuses.
