Commissioner Corner Message Board
Think you know fantasy hockey? Active players are welcome to join my deep, 20 team head-to-head league - complete with 24 team rosters! You need to know far more than just the star players to compete in this league. Weekly line up changes provide a more realistic feel and prevent teams from adding several free agent players per day to boost stats. League is run by a highly active and experienced commissioner.
Live Draft Wednesday night of September 24th!
Ok, i'm a rookie with playing fantasy hockey, but no a sh!t load about the game and players deep into the minor league system. but when you say weekly changes to line-ups is more realistic....... wouldn't a roto style be even more realistic with changes to line-ups daily?? again i don't know enough about fantasy hockey yet and i'm trying to decide how i want to structure my leauge. any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think weekly line ups involve far more strategy. With daily line ups, people just put in their line up whoever is playing that day. With weekly line ups you have to think about the upcoming match ups. Weekly line ups also enable you to keep some up and coming players on your bench who are not playing much ice time early in the season, but may pay off later in the season (with daily changes you are penalized if all your players aren't currently in big roles since you must use all your players each week). Also weekly changes prevents people from adding and dropping people just to gain more points in that particular series by having more players playing.
