I am going to say if you need a centre take Staal, if you need a winger take Perry. It is a pretty even trade and do what is going to balance your team more.
Coming from a Canes fan, I personally think Staal will finish with around 50 points, Staal is flourishing with Semin, first time Staal has a had a real elite winger and it is working. Also a key indicator that Staal will do continue to do good is he is usually a horrible starter and an incredible finisher, looks like this year he could start hot and finish hot. I think in the final 41 games last season Staal had 51pts I believe.
