Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
12 team, Pro H2H league- simple, standard categories.
Filppula, Malkin, Stastny,
Lucic, Doan, Duchene
Callahan, Cole, Stewart
Weber, Doughty, Kronwall, Whitney
Ward, Howard, Niemi
Some of these guys are slow starters, while others can be a bit unreliable. Where should I look, who should I move, and whom can I bring in to improve my winning chances? I'm totally bombing a stinker in this week's opener...
Current notable FAs:
**Forwards: Voracek, Erat, Hornqvist, Horton, Okposo, Atkinson, Morrow, B. Schenn
S. Koivu, Turris, Fisher, Huberdeau, Grabner, Weiss, R. Malone, Stalberg
**D-men: Fowler, Girardi, Leddy, Kulikov, Diaz, Robidas, Carlson, Hedman
Also, Kesler and Benn were dropped. Contemplating a move to stash Kesler on IR. Who knows if/when Benn will be playing under contract again..
Flippula had a fluke season last year. Drop.
Stastny & Duchene are inconsistent, but they might come back this year. Careful here.
Drop Doan if he ever hits a drought that lasts longer than 3 games.
Callahan, Cole & Stewart are all pretty unreliable.
Sorry to be mean but how did you draft? You don't seem to have solid producers other than Malkin.
Your D are pretty solid, with the exception of Whitney.
Goalies are fine.
I'd replace Stewart and Callahan with Voracek and Horton. Flippula with Turris.
TAKE BENN! He should be back this weekend. Swap for Stastny or Duchene, whichever position synchronizes with each other.
I know these are bold moves but honestly, Voracek has more upside playing with Giroux than Stewart. Horton gets first line time and Callahan gets 2nd/3rd line time. Both new players get PP time; your old ones don't. Flippula doesn't get PP time, Turris does.
Benn is Dallas' franchise player. Nothing more needs to be said.
Of that list of FA's only Horton is of interest to replace Doan but it doesn't work with you having Doan as LW and Horton being a RW
There has to be other LW's available in 12 team league,,,, post them,,, let's have a look
Not to worry about one week,,, your roster is decent and you should compete weekly
