    Carrying 3 Goalies

I'm in a 12 Team League. It has 16 total roster spots 2 of which are Goalies and 2 are bench spots. There are 8 offensive categories and 4 Goalie. Wins, Shut Outs, Goal Allowed Average and Saves. Is it a good idea carrying 3 goalies? I didn't go too strong in the draft, currently having Cam Ward, Craig Anderson and Corey Crawford. Thoughts?

    • With a category like saves, you'll be putting yourself at a serious disadvantage by carrying fewer goalies. I'd go with three, but do what you can to upgrade.

    • All 3 are #1 tenders which is good on very decent defensively responsable teams. Short bench which is bad. Tough to call but....

In a 12 team league I am sure you have depth in scoring so you should be good.

Have a look at all other teams rosters to see what they are doing and match them. If all are doing same no need to change. If not.....

Give it two weeks to observe on how you do as well as others and then adjust or just ride the 3

    • I'd probably only carry two in that format. I'm wary of Anderson, he could be pushed from the starting role by Bishop or Lehner. Just my opinion.
