    Keeper league draft help

I have the second pick and Yakupov will be off the board. Debating between a few players for my pick. We have FW so centers are important

Who do you think will have the most long term value?

    • I disagree with Terry.

Schultz will have the most IMMEDIATE value, as he is already being projected as a top line dman for the Oilers. He is coming into this season as a young talented player surrounded by other young talented player so his ceiling is high. He looks to be very good for a very long time.

However, I believe that, Galchenyuk, is your best LONG TERM value. He is incredibly talented and has nothing more to prove at the AHL, minor league levels. There is some speculation the bottom-line-watching Canadians might hold off on playing him in a shortened season when they have no chance of winning, to extend his contract and keep him cheap for one additional year.

Galchenyuk is reportedly already looking better than Plakenek and Deshchanasis and has been practicing on the second line, so who really knows. There is a chance he might not see much ice time in the NHL this season and we won't know until Saturday.

    • Schultz will probably have the better value long term but I wouldn't be surprised to see Granlund have the better year this season. FW aren't that hard to come by, don't let that be your deciding factor.
