Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
In a standard 12-team H2H fantasy league and just drafted. Before you ask how I drafted a bad team, note that I won my league last year. The reason I won was because I traded some picks in this year's draft to put my team over the top and win (including a 1st rounder). I'm glad I won but want to compete this year. Furthermore, since we're discontinuing the league after this year....I can't rebuild and have to win this league this year! Here's my team:
C - Logan Couture, Jordan Staal, Jeff Carter
LW - Tyler Ennis, Patrik Elias
RW - Gaborik, Iginla, Stafford, David Clarkson
D - Chara, Ekman-Larsson, Kronwall, Faulk
G - Schneider, Holtby, Lindback
So do I have any shot at winning? What do I need to improve the most and what can I afford to lose? I know that some owners are willing to trade Crosby and Niemi. Should I try going after either and if so, what should I offer?
Schneider is supposed to be the #1 in van and Holtby did great last year. It's a bit of a gamble, but you could have a good pair there. On D, Charas strong, Kronwall should step up, they say Ekmar-Larsson should be good but Im not very familiar with him. Your RW has a couple good players but Im concerned about your LW because I dont know what kind of year Elias will have. Couture should be good, Staal is supposed to be great with his brother, and Carter will be great for you. Just watch the waiver wire.
