ESPN says Seguin & Halak are injured

ok Thanks... I'll try to draft Halak, Seguin and Kesler because their rank is relatively low to my value. Halak IMO is the 4th best goalie (after lundvy, quick and rinne)... I'd pick him over Schneider and Bryzzy and Rask and Smith.

ESPN is scrap... they're ranking Elliot #1 overall...

    • be careful with this prediction, Lundqvist, Quick and Rinne have all capable backups, but yet backups! Quick might share again duties in net with Elliott. If he does not have a total breakdown it will come down to 50-30, with the risk that Elliott might take over...
I think Halak as #1 FH goaltender is quite risky, consider they play a tandem!

I think there is quite a problem with FH goaltending, because there is a trend to tandems. the normal workhorses elite goaltenders got some very strong competitors that can take over easy 25+ games...

Fleury (who is normaly the #4 FH goaltender) has now Vokoun behind him
      Miller got Enroth
Backstrom has both Harding and Hackett waiting for errors
Schneider / Luongo is a quite difficult situation
      Anderson has Bishop and Lehner
Neuvirth / Holtby is another tandem going into the season
      same for varlamov / Giguere
      and Brodeur / Hedberg
as well as Clemmensen / Theodore(Markstrom)

consider following goaltenders as better FH options

Cam Ward, Tuuka Rask, Jonas Hiller - all decent teams, good goaltenders and no competition behind them. Lehtonen would be another decent choice, great goalie - but hope for him Bachmann wont grab a lot of starts (AWESOME kid).
Price is another great goalie, but I dont see him get a lot of Wins.
      Same for Kipper

Goaltenders who might again run away with it:
Smith, but I am not sure if he can repeat...
Bryz has Leighton behind him and will face 70 games in a better year than the last one.
Howard should be just fine as another option
Niemi will see pressure from Greiss if he does start weak.

some sleeper options may be: Corey Crawford, Ondrej Pavelec, Anders Lindback and Devin Dubnyk - gambles, but they can run away with #1

dont even consider drafting Reimer, Nabokov or Bobrovsky
