Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
So getting advice from most people on here on a topic last time. The majority said to ship him off for whatever i can get. I decided to play it safe and got this trade done. Tell me who you think won.
I'm in a 16 team dynasty league, with deep rosters and including prospects.
Scoring stats are
G, A, P, +/-, PIM, PPG, SHG, SOG (weird stats i know)
W, GAA, SV%, SO
Crosby, Jordan Staal, Bogosian, Corey Schneider and prospect Jakob Silfverberg
and i recieved
Datsyuk, Thornton, Giordano, Bernier and prospect Sven Baertschi
My team now looks like this.
LW - Datsyuk (C/LW) (DTD), Eriksson (LW/RW), Moulson, Sullivan, Brunette, Penner and Cogliano (C/LW)
C - Spezza, Thornton, Couture (C/LW), Little (C/RW), Kelly, Brandon Sutter and Brian Boyle
RW - Kessel, Horton (IR), Nash (LW/RW), Gionta (IR), Sykora, Palmieri and Neil
D - Weber, Ekamn-Larsson, Quincey, Burns, Giordano, Alzner, Potter, Zidlicky
G - Quick, Hiller and Bernier
LW - Sven Beartschi
C - Mika Zibanejed
RW - Jordan Caron
RW - Scott Glennie
D - Slava Voynov
G - Robin Lehner

Yeah i know thats also why i got baertschi as a prospect to help lessen the blow. I think my prospect list is one of the stronger ones in our league tbh so hopefully that will help me out as people like thornton start to taper off.
obviously this all comes down to the status of crosby, healthy and performing, clearly the best player, but with his injury its so hard to determine his future sadely, and getting a for sure player in datsyuk is very solid. to say wither you won or lost will depend on the status of crosby, but its definitely not a bad deal, especially if bernier is shipped off, and becomes a viable starter.

I took into consideration Staal's reliability to stay healthy and the fact that if Crosby comes back and stays healthy for the remainder of his career i probably slightly lose this trade, but if he comes back/doesn't play again. Then get's reinjured and ends up retiring i made off like a bandit.
I know i lost the goalie matchup (I also have Quick though) , but i feel that i got the better prospect of the two, and that Giordano (even though he's been having a bad year). Has been the more consistent of the two defensemen in the league. In the previous two years he had better stats than Bogosian in almost every aspect for fantasy scoring. G, A, +/-, PPP, PIM, HITS, BLKS, and SOG.
Except for SOG and HITS two years ago.
