Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Ok so this trade got sent to me:
I get Jonothan Toews, Kris Letang, Jonas Hiller
I give: Jeff Skinner, Alexander Semin, Jaroslav Halak
Im inclined to accept it, but am wondering if it is lopsided in my favor? The reason I ask is because the team sending my the offer knows little about hockey and I dont want to take advantage of that situation. He does, however, have about half of his team on IR and put in the the text box that he "needs healthy bodies". He also has 5 defenseman (including Lindstrom and Shea Weber) so he wants to convert one of them into a forward. With this information, is this an uneven trade that may get vetoed?
I wouldn't say this trade is that one sided. Definitely in your favor and I think you need to hit the "accept" button.
If it causes a stink it causes a stink .... I mean he did send the offer, right? It's not like you're taking advantage of him.
In most fantasy leagues, I've found that unless something is blatantly stupid (like trading for a guy who is out for the year), or the GMs are incollusion to dump salary or earn a better drafting position, generally trades are not vetoed. There will always be trades where one side wins over time, or for the moment, and GMs put different values on certain players...those from a home town team, those they've always liked, those they did well with previously, etc. So I'd say don't worry about it, do your deal, and hope that Semin does not rise to greatness on his next team!
You would win this trade for sure... It might cause a little fuss from other managers but as u said the guy proposing wants healthy players and needs to ship a d for a forward so in his eyes he's doing what his team needs. I'd accept it and see what te response is its not like ur the person proposing the trade so no one should get mad at you
