    Goalie Help

I've tried trading a couple of times and on several of them I was even regretting putting up some of the players I did in exchange for what I receiving but no one's release anything, even the guys that have 5 goalies aren't dealing.

    • What kind of offers were you making?

    • I know how it is, I've been playing backups since the beginning since I didn't expect all of the starters to be gone by the third round, they're like gold in my league, no one wants to give them up without taking a finger or two from you...

A couple possible FA options to consider:

I'd see if Elliott is available, surprisingly, he's still available in about 70% of Yahoo leagues, he's the number one goalie in the league right now, even though he's still sharing duties 50/50 with Halak.

Might want to keep an eye on Emery, if he keeps producing, he could end up stealing the starting job from Corey Crawford.

Also might want to keep an eye on Josh Harding, he's out right now, but he's been great on a first place team pretty much also sharing duties 50/50.

Failing all of these possible FA's, I'd snag Pavelec, Winnipeg is on the upswing right now, and they have a lot of strong offensive players, I only see this team getting better. I see them similar to the Wild, there's no outstanding star on the team, but everyone is pulling their weight which makes them a team to be reckoned with. Not to mention he's going to get 90% of the starts, you can't really complain about that.

Ward's good, but Carolina are pretty awful this year.

I've been running with Harding and Elliott + spot starts since October and surprisingly, I've been winning most of the goalie points. Good Luck to you.
