Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Right now my Defense consists of
Boyle, Liles, Souray, Gonchar
Notable FA's are
Goligoski - who could be back next week
Enstrom - will pick up and place on my IR once Richards is back
I am trying to package Boyle and another forward for depth at goal and am thinking of dropping Souray and picking up Kulikov and Goligoski would these be good moves? Also would drop Gonchar in favour of Enstrom if he starts producing when back from injury.
Yeah hopelly he doe well it would really boost my team as i've had a bunch of under achievers in zetts, havlat, Parise and Carter and im still in 4th place i my league.
But thanks for the input it's much appreciated!
I also have Havlat and am counting on him to pick things up. He'll continue to play with good players on a good team, so assuming he stays healthy (I know that's a bit of a strong assumption!) I think he should be fine.
Thanks i was a little over whelmed by the other post even though i do think trading Carter and Boyle for something may be intriguing.
I think im going to stand pat for this week and if nothing changes with ward i may package him up along with Carter and Boyle for a First Liner and hopefully better goaltender.
But i agree with Richards and with the streaky/injury prone players they've been producing and i can just swap them out for players who are on hot streaks when that time comes even though i think Hemsky is the only one that fits that bill for me so far this season. I'm just hoping Havlat picks it up and doesn't get injured.
I'd be careful about getting rid of a starting goalie. Goaltending accounts for almost half the stats in your league. And keep in mind that the goaltending situation in Vancouver is still a little unsettled.
I'm not all that familliar with the Richards injury, but he's been having a good season and I'd think there's a very good chance he'll be back before the end of the season.
Richards and Carter are both excellent players, but I do agree that Carter will continue to suffer a bit playing in Columbus.
I'd say to deal Richards and Carter if you can get a Top 10 foreward or something, otherwise I would probably stick with what I had for the time being. Team looks pretty good overall, and remember the goal is to have bst possible team going into your playoffs.
