Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I'm thinking about offering Parise & Tavares for Malkin & Marchand.
I know it's a hefty price to pay, but my guys are slumping bad. I got Tavares in a deal for Couture, who was drafted in the later rounds. There are still quite a few solid free agents like Krejci and M.Koivu.
What do you guys think? Besides Malkin's points...both these guys will have amazing +-
I think the deal is pretty good for you. Gino is definitely back on stride and apparently the plan is to mix it up in Pittsburgh and put him with Crosby from time to time.
It's really his dual eligibility that makes this a good deal. Tavares is good but Centers are dime a dozen. I like the deal
And I agree, pick up Koivu if you can, he was heavily underrated at the beginning of the season.
No that's not terrible. He should accept that deal. But, Malkin is a double eligible guy which will not only give you points, but flexibility. Think about that factor. Also, maybe you could get someone else with more productivity than Marchand? If not, I would still try this. Then again, I am a Pens fan.
It's not a terrible offer, but as a Malkin owner I can tell you I wouldn't even consider it. He is playing at the amazing level he was a couple years ago, and Crosby being back is only making him better. If he can stay healthy, he could very well lead the league in scoring. While Tavares is a great talent, his pathetic team reduces him to a 70 point at best player (with an awful plus/minus) and Parise is starting to make me wonder if he will ever return to his former high level.
