Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
So, I need better G's. What kind of trade offer can I put together for a top tier G (i.e. Lehtonen; or Lundqvist or, Thomas).
Stats: G,A,P,+/,-,PIM,PPP, SOG......W,GAA,SV%,SHO.
C: Sedin, Getzlaf
RW: Giroux (RW/C), Seguin (RW/C), Hossa (BN)
LW: Nash, JVR, Zetterberg (LW/C)
D: Lidstrom, Streit, Burns, Timonen
G: Halak, Elliott, Gustavsson (BN), Reimer (IR) - my weakest postion !!
If I had King Henrik i probably wouldn't do that. Timo's value decreased this last week with Pronger returning and well, I have Hossa on my team and am just crossing my fingers every time he hits the ice that he doesn't do so literally.
i would still try to ditch Getzlaf and Nash (who both still hold value that comes with the name).
Depending on the team that owns him, Getzlaf for Lehtonen straight up is a decent deal. And Nash could be used in the same deal to get you another LW. Someone to the likes of Johan Franzen, Jamie Benn, or James Neal... I personally wouldn't trade Benn for Nash ever.. but it's all circumstantial and where the owner places value. But better to aim high than low.
You certainly don't want to part with any of your top tier guys, like Giroux, Sedin. But you might try to get some mileage out of Nash's reputation and maybe throw in Timonen or even Lidstrom. At least that's where I'd start. Getzlaf might be another guy whose reputation could be higher than his actual value this year. Hossa will undoubtably get hurt again and his stock is really high right now. Those are the guys I'd lead with and see what happens. Gus is a wasted roster spot, so throw him into the offer. Or maybe Elliot, who is legit, but if Halak keeps playing well he'd be worth including in an offer to offset the other guy's loss at G.

Thanks for all your insight. Here are the FA G's (Garon, Rask, Pavelec, Neuvirth, Harding, Dubnyk).
As for a potential trade - what about something like:
Hossa, Timonen for Lunqqvist?
