    I'm having a hard time deciding who to keep from last year. Here's my list of some of the players I'm considering (remember, I can only keep 7):

    Sidney Crosby
    Ryan Getzlaf
    Vincent Lecavalier
    Jonathan Toews
    Ilya Kovalchuk
    Corey Perry
    Bobby Ryan
    Thomas Vanek
    Milan Lucic
    Shea Weber
    Ilya Bryzgalov
    Tim Thomas
    Martin Brodeur

    If you had to choose 7, who would you keep?

      Bryz

      I would consider those 5 as lock.
      Bryz is your best goalie, Crosby is even with injury a must keep. and to have the maybe best line in hockey...its just a keep

      So there are 2 spots left.

      You have 2C 1LW 1RW 1G

      I would go with Kovalchuk and Weber.
      (Toews and Thomas are the other options to consider)

      why with those.
      Weber is the best D you can draft and Kovi is LW,RW
      Toews is another C and considering that you are playing at maximum in a 8team league you will find another goalie during the draft...

      thats it...

      Seriously-- it would help to know your settings (ie for PIMS or shots or faceoffs matter) but on any reasonable stats that is an awesomely strong team- I throw in the rankings available as a compilation of the rankings from 3 experts at nhl.com

      SO you have FIVE guys ranked in the top 20 and 13 folks ranked in the top 64 ? In an average 12 team league you could probably expect to have 5 of these folks, not 13. I have to ask how one accumulate such an awesome squad-- Is it a 4 team league ? Or did some opponents make some really dumb trades?

      Looks like I'm going to get to pick an 8th due to a screw up by the commissioner.

      Leaning towards picking Tim Thomas.

      Not sure where you got 6 player league from.
