Can pick 6 from last years roster..
Definitely keeping the following:
Now my dilemma is do I keep Boyle or Letang for a solid D? (Leaning towards Boyle)
And do I keep Sharp who I thin only qualifies at C (already have Kesler and Backstorm) or keep a 2nd goalie (Fleuy or Crawford)
Opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Last years roster:
(Dal - C)
(NYR - C)
(StL - C,LW)
(Chi - C,LW)
(NYR - RW)
(Chi - RW)
(San - D)
(Pit - D)
(Buf - D)
(StL - D)
(Buf - RW)
(StL - RW)
(Buf - RW)
(Chi - G)
(Buf - G)
(Was - LW)
(San - C)
(Van - C)
(Was - C)
(Pit - G)

I agree with youth and most of my keepers are young (I think Fleury and Kesler are my oldest at around 27) but I guess I'm concerned that Letang will duplicate last season's #'s. Boyle is pretty consistent putting up 50+ points a year and he is older but still feel I have another year or 2 worth of good seasons. If not, I still have a solid 5 to go forward for the next several years and I'm sure I will get another good D or 2 in the draft that I could keep..
I think I'm talked into keeping Fleury as a #2 goalie so that gives me 5 keepers trying to decide on #6.
So do I take a chance with Letang, hoping he is the real deal or go with the vet Boyle and his consistency?
Or is there another player on the roster you would take a shot with and I can always build my D through the draft?
Lots of questions...lol
As always, thanks in advance for any opinions!
Fleury should be a no-brainer. He's young. He plays well. He's on a very good team. Goalies are a prime position.
For the second, I would probably go with Letang for a lot of the same reasons that I would go with Fleury.
you havent even considered Couture? In my experience with keeper leagues, the drafts each season are usually filled with lots of D men so the chance of redrafting one of them is pretty good. Whats your position in the draft? If its late - id go with a solid d man. If its early - id keep couture.
keep em prime aged or young...so fleury and letang
both on an established team with great players....
crawford is only a second year goalie adn is the same age as fleury who has way mroe accolades then him
boyle will eb on the decline soon
sharps almost 30...after three four years he's not gonna be so hot
