Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Which 4 should i keep in a pool that has the followoing categories. G, A, PPP, GWG, +/-, shots, Wins, S%, GAA, SO.
The first 3 are obvious I'd say..
3) Mike Richards
Could be alot of players.. really..Let me know who you think and why
Dont take HILLER, he had vertigo and might not even play this year. kipper is on his way down.
Ovie - duh
Gaborik - if u like him, keep him, hes injury prone, but should bode well with b.richards
briere - gets more ice time with carter and mike gone.
mike richards - hes good, maybe not as good as what he was in philly thou....
Weber- beast D man. good for PPP
I like Couture alot this year!
1. Ove - No doubt.
2. Gaborik - Scores 40G on his own, with one of the best passers in the game could push for 50G.
3. M. Richards - A change of scene could do him good. LA should be awesome his season and their PP will be lethal.
4. Weber - Is an elite d-man will fill your stat. cats. nicely.
All of those tenders should be around for you to draft as:
A. Brodeur is getting old and starting to show his age.
B. Hiller had vertigo last season, still a little risky.
C. Calgary looks abysmal.
Ovie, Weber, Gaborik and Shattenkirk
Ovie and Weber are easy. Lucic would be on the list if either PM's or Hits were a category. Gaborik has the biggest upside among Richards, Stastny and Briere. Shattenkirk put up great numbers after the trade as is one of the breakout defensemen this year.
With 4 goalie stats being counted and the fact you had 3 in your last team, I'd say use your 4th and pick the best of the 3 goalies. It's a gamble really, all 3 will play the core amount of games. Guess it comes down to who you think will do the best this year. Hard to call.

Both my teams had 4 goalie stats. And I won the season this year so I get last pick in the first round then it snakes. So if I don't keep any of my goalies I'm sure most of them will be available by the time I have my first 2 picks.
3. Richards (Stastny?)
4. Kiprusoff (Brodeur as a gamble)
Hiller is to be avoided at all costs for no other reason than his health problems last year. Healthy, he's the G I pick. Brodeur could be Brodeur again and be in the top 3, or not. Brodeur is a box of chocolates this year. Kiprusoff will shoulder the load on a mediocre Calgary team again this year. 70ish starts, 35+ wins are probable.
