Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I'm really starting to think that I should drop Crosby right now. I don't think he'll be back in time for the rest of the season but maybe the playoffs. My head to head pool isn't a keeper league either so it doesn't matter. But which center man should I pick up in his place? Sam Gagner, Frans Nielsen, Derek Stepan, David Bolland, or Matt Cullen? Gagner right? Anyways thanks in advance.
I used crosby as trade bait weeks ago. but You should of had him on IR well before this point. I think Yahoo opened him to IR around the 10th of feb. but gagner is your only good choice if that's all you have to choose from. H2H league depends on the stats used. if your using FW and Blks and Hit. Matt Cullen is a good choice also.
If you really need FW a lot of H2H leagues over look Saku Kovio.
Gagner - 1st line Center for a terrible team that just lost their stars
Nielsen - hot lately for the surging Isles, and he gets the occasional SHP too!
Stephan - If NYR is scoring, he is almost always in on it. Not bad
Bolland - Uhh...yeah, just scratch his name off your list.
Cullen - not great, but he does get the SHP here and there, he's good on the penalty kill
All in all, if your league counts Points, and all that jazz with PPG, SHP, SOG, FW, HITS, +/-...etc, I would go with Nielsen, then Stephan.
Yeah I would pickup Gagner considering Edmonton has a youth movement and their giving their yong guys an oppourtunity to play. He'll prob be a number one center if not a number two. Frans Nielsen I don't know much about, Cullen won't have as much ice time once Koivu is back. Bolland plays on the third line I believe so no wouldn't pick him up.
So yeah I'd pickup Gagner unless you wanted to take a risk and go for Stephan who may or may not pan out.
Can you respond to my discussion question it's under "Trade Question"?
