    Worst Trade You've Ever Made?

I'd love to hear some of the worst trades you guys have made or seen. I know the worst I made this year :(...

I got Ilya Kovalchuk and Phil Kessel

I gave Sidney Crosby and Chris Stewart

    • When NJ was slumping early in the year, I tried to buy low on Brodeur and ended up giving away Jeff Carter, figuring a NJ turnaround was inevitable. I wish I'd known it would have taken four months to happen. I ended up dropping Brodeur as soon as he fell off the can't cut list.

Also dropped a lot of good players this year that I drafted (Smyth, Hartnell, Clowe), but I still have a great team, so c'est la vie.

    • 2007/2008 (i think) i traded away crosby and and paul kariya for vinny lecavalier and martin havlat.

this was kariya's last semi-productive year i think, and im from cole harbour, so i cant believe i even traded sid at all.

vinny at the time was leading the league and literally has shit the bed since he got on my team. he lost the league lead in scoring and havlat got hurt. And its a keeper league.

      real shithead move.

    • Only a 1 year league last season, so it wasnt the end of the world ( I still won), but I didnt think Doughty would keep up his pace after first month, so I swapped him for Kovalev. Oy Vey.

    • I traded Marc-Andre Fleury and Rick Nash for Malkin and Rask. I guess at the time it didn't seem so bad tho, I don't anyone expected Thomas to play this good and I honestly don't think Rick Nash is as good as people says he is but as of now, all reports indicate that Malkin is done for the year and well, I dropped Rask a long time ago.

I guess it wouldn't have really mattered in the end tho. I drafted a bunch of duds, Kovalchuk, Kessel, Gagne and Zajac. I expected Kovalchuk doing his same old thing, Kessel to finally spring to NHL stardom, Gagne being re-birthed on a whole new team and Zajac finally upping his game in his 5th year. Oh well, hindsight is everything.

    • i had two trades offered to me this year that were horrible and anyone would be an idiot not to accept. the one was early in the year someone offered me daniel sedin and sam gagner for michel neuvirth and mikko koivu. and the other one someone offered me was iginla and selenne for mike cammalleri...pretty bad

    • last year early on in the season i traded marleau and miller and i got havlat and lundqvist

    • Last year I traded Elias for the Bulin Wall. I needed a goalie and once I got him he got hurt and shut down for the year.

    • I obtained Bertuzzi for Hossa two days before Bertuzzi's famous "incident." B/co of our weekly line-up changes, I didn't even get the PIMs for it.

    • I traded Martin St. Louis and somebody else I can't remember and got Malkin and Hossa. Doesn't sound that bad but MSL getting alot of points this season and Malkin and Hossa with injuries etc., it sure hasn't worked out well for me.
