Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
great article and my team certainly fits the bill (http://www.rotoworld.com/content/features/column.aspx?sport=NHL&columnid=98&articleid=37200)
Someone offered me Ott for M.Koivu. My other players are below. Roto 8 team league. Stats are g/a/+-/pims/ppp/. Currently 1st but by a hair from the 2nd guy who has his stats covered in the long run. I've got some catching up in goals (3 points) and PPP (4 points) but with my roster I believe I can make this up. However i'm dead last in PIMS with 348 (1 point) and 2nd most is 413. Should I make this move by trading Koivu or someone else?
- Both Sedins
Goalies: - Varlamov, Pavelec, Crawford, Rinne & Ward
I would go after someone like Hartnell, Burrows, Downie or someone else that fits the bill that can score a few points and also get PIMS. If you can swing something for a Corey Perry of Mike Richards it would be a bonus but the first 3 would be more realistic and can get them for much cheaper.
Ott is FA in all three of my 12-team roto leagues.
gotta like the way he plays the game, but you don't need to pay that much for PIMs. wait until somebody gets hurt and pick up Prust off FA.
I think it's a start and it could be the difference in finishing 1st or 2nd (the pts available in PIMs) but Ott isn't going to do it all by himself...
Is Carkner or Peckham available?
don't. I find it's better to be really good at a few stats than average at all stats. If you're that far behind in PIM, focus more on something that you're doing good in and dominate that category. But that's just how I play.
