Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I have seen some of the posts out there about trades involving Marleau. My problem is that his +/- is killing my team. Currently at -15.
What could I expect in return for him one for one? Or If I package him with Dustin Brown or Franzen?
I really would like to offer a trade, but am not sure what level W to ask for in return.
I have the same problem... but no one is interested in giving up a top line player for him - at best you'll get a second liner. He is NOT going to put up the same numbers that he did last season - in fact if you look at his career stats, he's sort of up and down. He's probably going to finish more in line with his 2007-08 stats (78GP, 48 points, -19)... if not slightly better. Put him on your trading block and see what offers come to you.

i have marleau and pavelski, i had boyle but traded him away. im a total sharks fan and still ive been trading them away but pavelski is producing now. marleau has ran into a wall, but because im in a league with all sharks fans im trying to get zetterberg or datsyuk for him cus everybody is on my nuts for my sharks players
I think most people still hold an inflated value of marleau at the moment, despite his mediocre season. If you package him with brown for instance, you could probably expect to score a top-10 guy. Maybe someone like Zetterberg, St. Louis, Semin etc.
