Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I am pretty much in desperate need of either better RW's, G's, or C's... I want to trade for a player like Carter, Eberle, Pavelski, or Byfuglien. I'm in a 14 team H2H. Here's my team:
C- Joe Thornton
LW- Ryane Clowe
LW- Tomas Fleischmann
RW- Mike Knuble
RW- Danny Cleary
D- Mike Green
D- Dan Boyle
D- Kevin Shattenkirk
(dropped last defenseman for an extra forward)
LW- Sean Avery
LW- Alexandre Burrows
G- Antti Niemi
G- Nikolai Khabibulin
LW- Ryan Malone
RW- Devin Setoguchi
C- Travis Zajac
C- Sam Gagner
LW- Alex Tanguay
IR/RW- Steve Downie
I have 6 LW, and most GM's aren't active so here are the only RW's I could go for:
Martin St. Louis*
*= The ones I want most.
Anyone see any good trades I could make to get any of those guys?
You definitely need to get some goalie help. I think moreso than getting RW help.
That said, it will be hard to go after someone like Semin or Perry considering the seasons they've had so far. St. Louis will be tough to pry as well. Alfie could be a good buy low candidate while he's slumping. He wont be bad all year. Carter or Pavelski could be easier targets as they aren't 'top tier' names per say, but still give a lot of production.
Go with your first thought and try Zajac and Tanguay for Pavelski. I'd hang on to Fleisch. Since he's joined Colorado he's been tearing it up.

I only picked Setoguchi up because Callahan got hurt and once Downie's back I was gonna drop him. But I don't think Giroux will keep up these points all season and I see Burrows only getting better as the season goes on. I'd really like to try like Zajac and Tanguay/Fleischmann for Pavelski.
