Should I pull the trigger on this trade??

We are both 2nd last and Last in our league so we both want a shake up....

    I give up:

    Marian Gaborik
    Evgeni Malkin
    Tomas Kaberle

    I get:

    Corey Perry
    Lubomir Visnovsky
    Ilya Kovalchuk

We both badly need a shakeup and im wondering if you think its fair.. I could use the PIM and PPP with +/- but we both feel it could go either way.. what do you think?

    • i wouldnt malkin will be great this year gabby when healthy is great kovalchuk will have an off year

    • Id keep the guys you got...i think he wins that trade....try and ship kaberle for a better froward...i never have defenceman over 50% owned on my roster...i use them for 1 stat only
example..i use 1 D spot for matt carkner to ensure i almost lock up the PIM stat and then have jeff schultz to make sure my +- stat gets some helo with him

i have won my league 2 years in a row with this theory and am in 3rd right now

    • So you are giving up:

      C - Evgeni Malkin
      RW - Marian Gaborik
      D - Tomas Kaberle

      and receiving

      RW - Corey Perry
      LW/RW Kovalchuk
      D - Lubomir Visnovsky

To be honest man, I would welcome this trade with open arms. The fact that you are getting Perry *and* Visnovsky means you have the potential to double up on points, and power play points. Perry is a very solid all around producer and collects PIM while he's at it. Vis is very underrated to a lot of people and I can't figure out why. While he's older, he runs the point on a lethal power play and here's a guy who put up 50-60 points before on a team not nearly as good as this year's Ducks (offensively speaking mind you).

True you are giving up Malkin, who has the potential to be a top 5 player, but he just isn't having the year he is normally accustomed to. Kovalchuk is a classic buy low candidate and even though he's not producing now, the guy knows how to score goals and the Devils can only go up from where they are now. Add in that Parise is out and he can almost run the show like he did in Atlanta, and you've got a second half season bloomer. He's also flex!

Geno > Any player on other team

      BUT in my opinion...

      Perry > Gaborik
      Kovalchuk > Gaborik
      Visnovsky > Kaberle

I say go for it man. Hope this helps!
