Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
My friend offered:
Kovalchuk + M Savard (IR) for P Sharp + Rene Bourque
I'm asking A.) should I make this trade. is it worth it for me to do?
I'm also asking because he said to counter offer if i want:
I was thinking of adding Kovalchuk + M Savard (IR) + Lecavlier for P Sharp + Rene Bourque + Plekanec
what do people think?
should i immediately accept the first offer? should I pass on it? or should i counter offer and see what happens?

Ya you made the right deal there Kovy is an elite player and your trading two good ones but you could probably fill a position for Borque or Sharp maybe not as good but sufficient enough to make getting Kovalchuk worth it!
Oct 18 Savard (post-concussion syndrome) passed his exertion test and has been cleared for skating, more intense bike workouts, and weightlifting, the Boston Globe reports.
Recommendation: As the Bruins approach their fourth contest of the season on Tuesday, Savard is currently on long-term injured reserve, which makes him ineligible to play in the team's first 10 games. How close he will be to a return once that time comes remains to be seen, but Savard is making progress, with the expectation being that he will continue to ramp up his workouts in the coming days.
Thats a risky trade IMO I think Sharp will slow down but anybody willing to take Savard is a good move to trade him I don't like your counter Lecavalier over Plekanec if you really wanted why don't you take Bourque out and add Plekanec??

yeah i kind of felt that way too. that's why i was asking. do you think savard will be good ole savard when he comes back? sharp is on fire and i think he'll slow down some but i've always liked him and figure he's due for a breakout year. plus he's the pivot for hossa.
