Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I have 4 goalies and we start 2:
My goalies are:
Should I keep all 4 and then drop either Bobrovsky or Johnson later to see which one does better or should I drop one right now or keep both ?
That's a tough call, you way just want to sit on them for a few weeks and see how things play out. Johnson's been getting a few starts and has been looking really good, plus Fleury has been looking pretty terrible, a conflict may develop there. Same with Bobrovsky and I think having a starting goalie for either the Pens or flyers would be pretty nice.
Quick has been looking amazing, but all the forum talks up to the start of the season were saying that his job is at risk to Bernier, and Valamov is injury prone and we are already seeing some that.
So if you can sit on them and they all turn out to be amazing, maybe you could get a good trade when their hot, or one turns out to be sour, then you can drop him with piece of mind and pick up a skater.
It's early in the season, I think we still need to wait and see how things play out before making some rash decisions.
thanks for the reply. Hmm i was also thinking of picking up a 4th Goalie as well and do the wait and see and use there starts. but i think either Bobrovsky or johnson one of them could def go right now. I mean if you can afford to hold em to see if they pan out then do it. But if there is a solid FA pickup I would def drop one of them.

I disagree. Johnson is starting a LOT of games -- more than Fleury so far. That might continue, or it might not...but until you know definitively, why not keep him starting?
Quick has been fabulous. What coach would no longer want a fabulous goalie starting?
