    Kipper/Zajac for Stamkos

I need goals and the last-place team in my league desperately needs a goalie. I'd like to nab Stamkos, and would offer Kipper and Zajac. Do you think this is a fair trade?

    • Kipper's numbers will improve. He's still an elite goalie, no question, and Zajac is still on the top NJ line, so I think it's up to your patience. On one hand Stamkos is a safe acquisition, no matter what, but the centre position is pretty deep, and you could wait and see if Zajac and Kipprusoff produce. It'd be tough for me to give up a player playing on the same line as Parise and Kovalchuk, as well as Calgary's #1 goalie, so I probably wouldn't make the trade.

      • My concern with Kipper is that the Flames are horrible this year, and Kipper has been average at best. I do believe he'll improve, but in the meantime he's giving up too many goals and, if the Flames can't score, he won't win.

I selected Zajac for exactly the reason you stated--he centers the top line with two monsters. So far the results have been mediocre, and it sounds like Kovy is back at LW on the second line. So, that reduces his appeal a bit.

In any event, I think you're probably right about waiting it out. I probably just need to be patient.

    • maybe in the long run its a fair trade but as of right now kipper and zajac both are playing for shit teams and tb is doing really well
