Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I give- Gaborik, Goligoski, Bouwmeester, and B. Richards
I get- Kovalchuk
This is my roster incase anybody wants to know it...
Nash (lw,rw)- playing left wing
Heatley (lw,rw)- playing left wing
Simon Gagne (bn, lw)
B. Richards (bn, c)
Edler (bn, d)
Timmonen (bn, d)
This trade is nuts. You've got plenty of wingers already, and Kovalchuk will only do slightly better than Gaborik (if Gaborik can stay healthy).
I assume there are four teams in your league because your team is stacked. Keep what you've got, and rotate Richards and Getzlaf in and out. You're not deep enough at C to lose Richards and you're unlikely to find someone on FA who will score as much as Richards if either Getzlaf or Backstrom get hurt.
At the very most you should be only be giving Gaborik and 1 of those D-men for Kovie. If you want to give him both D-men because you have 2 extra so be it, but there is no way B. Richards can be a part of it unless you're getting something else in return. You already have 2 LW/RW players on a pretty strong team, you don't really even need Kovie. Be honest with yourself, your only really considering this because you're a Devils fan.

eh i mostly like kovie now that he can play two positions, lw and rw. i like to keep players like that so that way i can throw them around on my roster and i can make more combination as to where i place people. i prefer kovie to gabby because kovie will be playing with parise this season so he will get many more assists and maybe a few goals less this year.
