Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Alright...so this might by far be my worst draft so far out of all the years of fantasy...but I'm remaining optimistic.
What do you think? 7th pick out of 12 teams.
(in no order)
C - Stamkos, Brad Richards, Konopka
LW - Penner, Frolov, Ryan Smyth
RW - Semin, Downie, Setoguchi
D - Keith, Myers, Streit, Zidlicky, John Carlson
G - Varlamov, Ward
Forwards/Defensemen Stat Categories: Goals (G), Assists (A), Plus/Minus (+/-), Penalty Minutes (PIM), Powerplay Points (PPP), Shots on Goal (SOG)
Goaltenders Stat Categories: Wins (W), Goals Against Average (GAA), Saves (SV), Save Percentage (SV%), Shutouts (SHO)
I know my LW are pretty weak, but could pan out. My D is prob the strongest in the league. Varly will get the wins in Washington, and hopefully ward returns to form.
Ok, so as far as goalies out there...heres what my options are...
Gustavsson (wont be getting the starting job right away, if at all)
Christ Mason (really really debating dropping Carlson)
Tim Thomas (though I know he'll get starts, will tukka completely take the job away for good?)
Thats about it as for players who are potential starters.
Chris mason, right?
center looks good
lw is steady 50 from all 3 guys nothing special
rw is perfect baring injury
d is 50/ 50 + - rating could hurt u here but overall very nice
goalie is very very rocky varlamov will get wins but may be platooon goalie and ward has talked retirement and his health
may cause problems. great in a perfect world but u may want at least 1 more goalie. gl h/h u gonna win more than u lose

Thanks KM. I agree with you for the most part. I think im gonna let it go the first week and see what happens.
I was debating dropping Setoguchi for say, Knuble. But I cant pull the trigger on it.
Another goalie, yeah. Im also thinking that. But now is just backups and scraps. I was thinking of taking Bernier, but hes not even a for sure to be up in the NHL to start.
I had konopka for PIM, but can always be dropped since I have downie in there.
I also think ill win more than I lose, my C will keep me in the weeks, but I'm gonna have to get nifty with the trades once the season starts, or watch that waiver wire.
